Brassavola digbyana is one of the most utilized parent for hybrids in the Cattleya Alliance, producing a large frilly lip and imparting its wonderful fragrance to all its progeny. It is a native to Central America and Mexico and is often found in dry, harsh conditions. The flowers are up to five inches with a large frilly lip and they have a wonderful night fragrance.
